Annandale
The grid of terraces.
Annandale was laid out as a planned suburb in the 1870s and it still reads that way: a grid of straight streets running north from Parramatta Road to Rozelle Bay, lined with Victorian terraces and, along Johnston Street, some of the Inner West's most ornate Italianate houses.
Booth Street is the local centre, with the café strip and the light rail stop. The suburb is walkable end to end and close to the universities, Glebe and the city.
