Leichhardt
Norton Street and the federation belt.
Leichhardt is the largest of the six suburbs and the most varied. Norton Street's Italian restaurants and the Italian Forum anchor the centre, and the streets around it run from small Victorian cottages to wide federation semis and bungalows towards Haberfield.
It has the best-value freestanding homes in the area and a strong rental market close to the light rail and the universities.
